William J. Hawkins is the managing partner of HAWKINS + LENNON Productions. He is responsible for bringing together the creative professionals and financiers necessary to produce, distribute, and promote theatrical quality films.
Bill has engaged in extensive research and analysis of the movie business. As part of a process to educate potential film production financiers from outside the industry, he has written several essays on relevant subjects.
During the past 17 years, Hawkins has been the managing partner of Straight Arrow PR – a unique firm dedicated to promoting distinguished authors, educators, and attorneys focused on important subjects.
His career in public relations and media production includes:
- Serving as a publicist for non-fiction authors
- Co-producing and co-hosting a national television program
- Serving as a public relations advisor to national political leaders
Since 2007, Bill has promoted over 260 highly qualified authors and experts. His responsibilities included the arrangement of media interviews and public speaking engagements. His clients have been interviewed on hundreds of national and major market radio and television programs including CBS Evening News, Fareed Zakaria’s GPS (CNN), and Mornings with Maria Bartiromo (Fox).
Bill graduated from Bethany College with a B.A. in mass communications. He then attended law school at the College of William & Mary.
Bonnie J. Lennon is a partner with HAWKINS + LENNON Productions – a new consortium of film industry players. She is responsible for writing theatrical quality scripts.
Ms. Lennon has written six screenplays – two in the mid-90’s and four that were completed in recent years. Her first two scripts were romantic comedies. The Ring of Truth was approved by the story department of Paramount Pictures in 1994. Destiny Island was described as “sensational” by Academy Award authority and publicist Dale Olson. The script was approved by Newmarket Capital, a major financier of indie films. It was then recommended to Mel Gibson in 1995. Both screenplays were optioned by independent producers.
Ms. Lennon returned to screenwriting in 2021. Her new film scripts are based on Florida storylines and characters. The screenplays will soon be sent to creative professionals and production financiers as part of HAWKINS + LENNON projects. Bonnie recently completed 10 one hour episodes of a comedy television series designed for an online content distributor or premium cable channel.
Ms. Lennon is also a partner with Straight Arrow PR – a public interest firm that promotes authors and experts focused on important subjects. She has 20 years of experience in public relations with expertise in different forms of writing.
Bonnie attended Wheaton College and graduated with honors from the University of Rhode Island with majors in English and psychology.
